My name is Mackenzie Cunningham, and I am the newest registered nurse joining the Veritas Backstage team! Though born and raised here in Austin, I attained my B.S. in Nursing from George Washington University in D.C. and my undergrad degree in Psychology from University of Georgia. Now that I am settled back home in Austin, I can’t wait to reconnect with my community here and build new relationships with you all!

I began my nursing journey in the Emergency Room, where I gained invaluable experience and skills that have enabled me to feel confident in any setting going forward. Apart from the ER, I have an obsession with all things health and beauty and have been in the aesthetics industry for about 8 years now. I have worked as both a nurse (and medical assistant prior to that) in Dermatology and Facial Plastic Surgery alongside some of the best surgeons and teachers in the game, and picked up many tips and tricks along the way. I am super passionate about educating my patients and providing them with the most accurate, up to date information and treatments available so they can make the best-informed decisions regarding their care. To me, there is no better feeling than helping people to reach their skincare and health goals, and watching their confidence flourish along the way.

When I am not working, you can find me at the trail with my dog Finn, or on lake Austin on a nice day! The only thing I love as much as skincare are animals, so show me all of your pet pics when you come in!
