Body Contouring
Non-surgical fat reduction for patients at a stable weight addressing localized areas that have not responded to lifestyle measures.
Body contouring at Veritas Backstage uses energy-based technology to target and reduce subcutaneous fat in specific areas — without surgery or significant downtime. It is most effective for patients who are at or near their optimal weight but have identified areas that remain resistant despite consistent exercise and nutrition.
This is not a weight loss treatment. It is a precision option for localized reduction — appropriate for patients who want to refine a body composition they have largely achieved, not as a substitute for lifestyle measures.
The science behind non-surgical body contouring relies on the selective sensitivity of fat cells to thermal or mechanical energy. The applied energy disrupts the fat cell membrane without damaging surrounding tissue. The body then clears the disrupted cells through natural metabolic processes over the following weeks.
THE EXPERIENCE
Treatment sessions typically take 30 to 60 minutes depending on the size and number of areas being treated. The technology delivers controlled thermal energy to the targeted area while protecting the overlying skin. Most patients feel warmth and mild pressure during the session.
Some redness, tenderness, or temporary swelling in the treated area is expected for the first few days and resolves on its own. There is no incision, no anesthesia, and no required recovery period — most patients return to their regular activities immediately.
Results develop progressively as the body clears the disrupted fat cells over six to twelve weeks following each session. Most patients complete two to four sessions to achieve their desired result.
What it treats
BODY
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Non-surgical body contouring is well-suited for patients who have maintained a stable weight and are addressing localized deposits of fat that have not responded to their nutrition and exercise practices. It is not appropriate as a first-line approach to weight management, and patients who are actively losing weight should complete their weight management protocol before beginning contouring treatment.
Results are most predictable in patients with good skin elasticity in the treatment area. Patients with significant skin laxity — where the skin hangs independently of the underlying fat — may achieve better results from surgical correction, as fat reduction alone does not tighten the skin. Your provider will assess the treatment area during consultation to confirm whether body contouring is the most appropriate approach for your anatomy and goals.
Results and maintenance
Fat cells disrupted by treatment are cleared permanently — they do not regenerate. However, remaining fat cells throughout the body can expand with significant weight gain, which can reduce the contoured result. Maintaining a stable weight after treatment preserves the outcome. Most patients complete two to four sessions, with final improvement visible at twelve weeks following the last session.
