The injections themselves are quick. Most patients describe a brief pinching sensation at each injection point. No numbing cream is required for most neurotoxin sites, though it is available for patients who prefer it. There is no meaningful downtime, and most patients return to normal activity immediately.

Onset varies by product and patient. Botox and Xeomin typically produce visible effect within three to five days, with full results at two weeks.
