what are medical grade chemical peels?
Chemical peels are results oriented facials designed to diminish brown spots, improve skin tone, treat acne and diminish fine wrinkling while smoothing rough skin texture. Your treatment will be selected based upon your skin type and desired appearance. Generally, a chemical peel is performed in 30-60 minute treatment in combination with a facial; and, a solution of one or more acids, such as alpha hydroxy acid, salicylic acid, TCA, or resorcinol is applied to the skin in a controlled manner to accelerate skin renewal, resulting in 2 -7 days of skin “peeling”, or flaking.

what will I experience during my medical grade chemical peel?
We will select the appropriate combination of solutions based upon your skin’s condition and degree of sun-damage, and upon application, you will experience a warm tingling sensation for 2-15 minutes depending on the depth of treatment. The greater the length of time the solution is left on the skin, theoretically, the deeper the peel, or greater the final result. However, because not all skin behaves alike, your treatment will be customized to fit your genetic and lifestyle profile for best results.
After you leave: You can expect to experience a warmth similar to a sunburn on the areas treated, and a tightening feeling.
NOTE: You will need to shield your skin post-procedure for the next 10 days from the sun by wearing Veritas Honour Ultimate DNA Defense SPF 30.
Post Treatment:
Day 1 – the skin will feel warm and tight
Day 2 – the skin will feel tight and dry (only moisturize with a lightweight serum or with Veritas Iconic C3 Peptide Complex)
Day 3 – the skin will begin to flake around the mouth and nasolabial creases (you may use Aquaphore or Alba non-petroleum jelly on sensitive areas)
Day 4 – the skin flaking will expand to include the chin and mid face
Day 5 – the skin flaking will expand to include the lateral sides of the face and the forehead
Day 6 – the skin will appear brighter and more refined as the old damaged skin sloughs away revealing the new healthier layers.
